A bright and light Soprano that can soar to the highest notes with ease and beauty.
Soprano Cat Thompson has always enjoyed singing. She began singing lessons at school and was a member of the East Berkshire girls choir. Since then she has performed with many local choirs and societies over the years. Cat was a founder member of Renaissance Voices established by Michael Sanderson in 2000. Cat has performed a number of principal roles for Maidenhead Operatic Society in Gilbert and Sullivan operettas including Rose Maybud in Ruddigore, Casilda in The Gondoliers, Elsie Maynard in The Yeoman of the Guard and most recently Mabel Stanley in The Pirates of Penzance. She has also appeared in a variety of other shows including The Pajama Game (Poopsie), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Marie), La Belle Helene (Leona) and Carmen (Micaela).
Cat enjoys working with children and is currently a teaching assistant at a local primary school. When Noteworthy began in 2011, she was pregnant with her first child and has since had her second. She was pregnant during many of our performances and the two children have both been music and singing fans since birth!
