Liz Couper-Johnston is no stranger to stage performance. She has enjoyed a wide variety of principal roles in operas and musical theatre including The Merry Widow (Valencienne and Hannah Glavari), Bitter Sweet (Sarah), Chess (Svetlana), Die Fledermaus (Rosalinde), La Perichole (La Perichole), La Belle Helene (Helen of Troy), The Pajama Game (Katherine “Babe” Williams), How To Succeed in Business (Miss Jones).
For five years she fronted The Andy Drysch jazz band as lead vocalist singing standards of the repertoire. She also played Hero in The Garden Players inaugural production of Much Ado About Nothing and was the minstrel in As You Like It premiering specially-commissioned songs by Graham Barker. Liz has also been a contracted artiste with MAC Entertainments and can also tell a tale or two.
